Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data ULadder collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Last updated 12 June 2026.
Who we are
ULadder (“ULadder”, “we”, “us”) operates this website and the ULadder mobile apps. For UK data protection law, we are the data controller for the personal data described here. If you have any questions, contact us at legal@uladder.co.uk.
Information we collect
- Account details. When you join the waitlist you create an account through our authentication provider, Clerk. This includes your name, email address and a password. Passwords are handled by Clerk and are never stored by us in plain text.
- Contact messages. If you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address and the content of your message so we can reply.
- Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting and security providers process limited technical information such as IP address, device and browser type for reliability and abuse prevention.
How we use your data
- To operate the waitlist and reserve your place.
- To send you launch emails and important service updates you have asked for.
- To respond to enquiries you send us.
- To keep the service secure and to improve how it works.
Legal bases
We rely on your consent for marketing and launch emails (you can withdraw it at any time), on performance of a contract to provide the account and waitlist you signed up for, and on our legitimate interests to keep the service secure and to answer your messages.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run ULadder, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Clerk - authentication and account management.
- Amazon Web Services (SES) - delivering transactional and contact-form emails.
- Our hosting and analytics providers, where applicable.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist and account data for as long as your account is active or until you ask us to delete it. We keep contact messages only for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and our records of it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email legal@uladder.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to run the site, including a session cookie set by Clerk when you sign in. We do not use advertising cookies.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product grows. When we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know by email.
